    AR .223 at San Leandro

    Want to break in a new AR....last time i was over there they mentioned no .223 fmj. They mentioned hollowpoints and soft points. I am not familar w softpoints. Any other options or should i just buy a box or so of hollowpoints and have at it?

    They say no FMJ, but that doesn't mean people do not take FMJ there. I know first hand that a lot of people do not use soft point there. If you can schedule a range day Fri-Mon I would go to Chabot instead. You are allowed to shoot steel cases and FMJ. Plus Chabot is a nicer facility and does not smell like a garbage dump, oh wait SL is at the dumps!

    If you do start buying Soft Points it is going to get expensive

      yeah..i know chabot....i started shooting ipsc over there, but this would be just for a one time deal. I got the itch to shoot it and want to do some cleanings in between. It would not be a regular affair.
