Making first online gun purchase - what do i need to know?

I haven't purchased a handgun in 5 years. The last time I did was in GA and the purchase involved meeting the seller at a Walmart parking lot, handing him the money and me driving off with my new handgun.

Now that I am in CA I know its a whole other ballgame. I saw a handgun on Guns America that I would like to purchase but have never bought online. What do I need to do or provide the seller?

I validated it is on the approved list and contacted the seller to see if they sell to Californians - they do. Other than buying it what are my next steps?

Find an FFL who will receive it and what their charges are. Also verify they will receive it from a private party if applicable.

other side needs to be signed up with CA DOJ also...

you also need to obtain a handgun safety certificate. your ffl should be able to administer the test.
