    SKS transfer

Well my dad's cousin wants to give me his Russian SKS for doing a bunch of work for him. Do i need to go through a ffl, or is it just hand to hand, no paperwork?

    Thanks.

PPT at an FFL - unless the SKS is 50 years old or older.

Frozen in 2015, it is falling out of date and I can no longer edit the content. But much of it is still good!

If it is over 50 years old and you are both California residents, you can just do it FTF without any paperwork.
