I am looking at a Taurus 92 made in 1991 , it comes with 2 original mags that are 15 rounders as well..

since I did not buy it back then can I keep them

or must I work them over to be 10 rds.or buy new mags ?

well they come with the gun its still in the box basically new..all the original stuff comes with it, paperwork etc..It may not have been fired..at least not in years..

so what if he took them apart and bagged up the parts .
then I guess I have to order new mags to use the gun..and keep the original mags in parts that came with it and put them away...( need them to keep it all original )

I would pay an extra shipping fee and have him/them send you the mags as kits to your home and if and when our laws change or you visit a Free State you can use them then

Legally you must disassemble them and either keep them for out of state use, or turn them into 10 rounders. Or you could Suggest criminal conspiracy to commit a felony again and it won't end well. -leelaw

If they are out of state, yeah, they must be broken down and not put back to original while here! Although if they were, no one would know as the law is mostly unenforceable.

You can buy the gun and the disassembled magazines at the same time, they just can't be used in state with a capacity of more than 10 rounds. Save them for out of state use, or for that special day when things change here.

Epoxy/weld steel plates to the sides of the mag to prevent the follower from going all the way down, epoxy a block to the bottom of the follower (and epoxy the floorplate since the mod must be permanent), drill through the front and back and run a pop rivet in and epoxy the hole in the rivet.....
