Hey guys i would like to know what you guys think about the beretta 92s i just purchased one from my local gun shop that my buddy owns and according to him its never been fired a guy brought it in for him to sell. i got it for $550 now its in beautiful shape but no box or paper work one mag. my question is are they as reliable as the 92fs i have had 2 of the fs and never had problems. do you think it was it was a fair price i purchased it for.

The 92S is the forerunner to the 92FS. The early ones had the euro style mag release at the bottom of the grip. I've had one for about 25 years. The fit and finish is much better than the 92FS IMO. Shoots just like a 92FS. You probably have the euro mag release, if so you may have trouble finding mags. The 92FS mags will not work in 92S without the modified release catch at the bottom.
