    spurless hammer

has anyone tried removing the spur on a DA revolver?

Is removing the single action notch on the hammer to make it a DA only safe?

Several years ago I my first attempt at WECSOG was to remove the hammer from my Model 60. I used a hacksaw (yeah, I know..), a file and some finishing stones. I worked out better than I deserved and later when I bought a Dremel I smoothed out the rough spots and evened everything up with a polishing wheel.

It looks good and has never failed to fire.
I wouldn't try messing with the notch on the hammer unless you are really famliar with how things work and how working on it affects metal.

Here is my Model 60 despurred.
