Thanks Goat, I just checked and it doesnt seem like they have anything like that currently.

I really was hoping someone knew where this badboy came from so I could order one up.

My dept. policy makes us use an off duty with retention of somesort and this thing looks dead on what I am looking for

Looks like it might be the K&D Dakota Defender w/ optional thumbreak (that's an order option.) Unfortunately it doesn't look like they make this model any more - maybe give them a call and see what they can do?

K&D Dakota Defender: I ordered the Dakota Defender from recommendations off of various gun forums and other internet searches claiming to be a good quality IWB leather holster and decided to give it a shot. Ordering from K&D was a great experience. They take all orders over the phone after...

Justin - here is a thread that has some info. It is old but probably still good. That holster may be a custom piece, and the thread listed has a few suggestions. http://www.thehighroad.org/showthread.php?t=61334

Desantis makes a few IWB holster with thumb breaks. http://www.desantisholster.com/store...7&itm_index=45
Shop DeSantis GunHide for premium leather and kydex holsters, duty gear, and more. Experience family-owned, American-made quality. Find your perfect fit today.

I can't beleive your dept. is requiring that though, it seems crazy and overkill. The whole idea of a thumb break is for added retention of the gun, with it concealed, no one should know you even have a gun.

Make sure you practice well with that thing when you get it, in my experience a thumb break holster, worn that close to the body can be difficult to draw quickly without a lot of practice.

            Thanks fellas

I know its overkill but since im on probation Im just gonna do what they say and after that then i will ask if I can use something like a supertuck or MTAC.

Thanks for all of the points in the right direction though!!!

Careful Dealing with K&D, here is a review of what happened with me. I can see that they have changed their site to reflect the problems that happened with my order. Also note that i was totally unaware of their response to my thread so i didn't even participate in the thread after the first post.

Now, I believe that the error was a miscommunication and their lack of taking fault for the problem that did happen resulting from the misguidance on their site......I am in no way knowledgeable on different types of leathers and believed the leather to have been tooled or stippled or full grain like on my sofa.

Also I retract my statement that it was $100 down the drain, i have extensively used the holster since this happened, but i believe that i am still down about $40 because a cheaper mass produced holster would work just as well as their product and probably look nicer. I couldn't justify returning it on my dime after i waited for 6 months and also holsters for Walther P99s are difficult to find.

This is what i was led to believe i would receive in havana brown:

              This is what i received:
