When you start running out of money or have to sneak guns into the house to avoid letting your wife or family see them, then you have a problem.

Sounds like it's time to buy another safe.

What about running out of room for more safes?

maybe I need to get rid of some of the guns I don't shoot......or do some trades.....

hehe stuff the gun down the pants to avoid letting the wife see.

"Hmm... is that a new gun or are you just happy to see me?"

We should start a support group. I'm at the shop so much I know what each worker drives!! By the process of elimination I have figured out who drives what by who is working. I didn't even know I was doing it until I showed up one day and said "Oh good, Pual is here" when I saw his truck. I'm there just about every other day. And I can't leave without buying something. Ammo, lube, primers, anything. I'm sick and I need help. There...I'm at the first step to recovery

Therapy for this type of addiction must be approached slowly. DO NOT take more than FOUR guns to the range at a time! DO NOT take more than 200 ROUNDS per gun! Slowly work your way through all ammo, being sure to leave NOT ONE round unfired! When finished with ALL ammo, carefully and methodically clean all weapons. Don't forget to wash your hands when done. Next: (this is VERY IMPORTANT) 1. go to the gunshop and replace ALL expended rounds 2. purchase enough rounds for the NEXT four guns that you plan on shooting tomorrow. 3. purchase more cleaning supplies (it helps to try all the "new and improved" products, also) 4. each week, build up to two to three additional guns, and gradually increase the rounds fired by increments of fifty. 5. admit that you are hopelessly addicted, that there is NO cure and buy another weapon to "take the edge off". (Make, model, caliber, long gun, hand gun, shot gun, black powder, even a bow; it doesn't matter cause you ain't gonna stop it) 6. make sure that you generously contribute to the gun shop coffee fund. 7. do a self assessment: are you addicted to hunting, also? Good! Now take up spin fishing and fly fishing and all your problems are solved. This program has worked wonders for me, but I must warn you that this type of therapy will take many years to realize any permanent change in your behavior. If I can give you any further advice, leave me a message or drop by deer camp; archery season just opened up in the Sierras. The coffee is free in camp but you gotta clean your own fish. Hope this helps. Peace and God bless, Wolfsong

                      I see no problem here.
