Luv the Gunny...but you'd think after all the TV shows, movies, and being a Marine, he would have better knowledge and history of firearms.

He really comes across as a dolt too many times.

Not to mention the foolishness of empty cases as hearing protection.

I have spent two days with Lee while filming Mail Call (episode #4) and he is a great guy. We all just sat around at lunch time and shot the shat with him. After the shoot I, along with the owner of the property, pulled out some modern small arms and plinked with him for a bit before we left the site. He is exactly the same in person as what you see on TV and in the movies.

I suspect that he's more of a user rather than a historian or collector, so the fine details he doesn't care too much about. Most of us here would get uppity if we mislabeled a caliber or some-such.
