Then why does everyone act like a gun is so important? Chances are so damn slim, why does majority of the forum act over paranoid?

Discuss. I'm just trying to be hard on ya'll. But really has anyone ever had to use a gun before? Yea it's better to be prepared than not i know but some people feel like a 380 isn't enough. If you fire off the first shot the bad guy is going to run. It's not like scarface when there 30 people running up the stairs.

The fact that very few of us have been in a gunfight at all doesn't change the fact it is always possible one of us could get into one in spite of any efforts to avoid it.

If you're comfortable with a 380 then great. On the other hand if a couple of people pull a home invasion on me I'd much rather have a 9mm or 45 auto. And for those SHTF situations then having some sort of rifle is a big bonus because that's the time when you might have a large group of people to contend with.

But seriously though, guns are a hobby for me. Why settle on just a 380? And as unlikely as it may seem, I'd rather be prepared if SHTF then unprepared like the sheep. One does not need to be in a gunfight to want, like, and be obsessed with guns.

Because we can. It's not the bill of paranoid, it's the bill of rights. And yes, If there is 30people running up my stairs, I would like to be able to take them all out. Nothing like the grammar police stopping by every now and again.

I'm not talking about people who collect guns love guns and all that. Some just feel like get a 45 or you're not adequate to be my friend or discuss your inferior gun with me.

I know someone very close to me who's family was robbed. His family was tied up and cash was taken from their home. After than day he looked to guns as insurance. He was the only guy in the city who would have a gun permit. Anyway, I asked him what he carried. He carried an SP101. This was someone who had been robbed and tied up by gunmen at his home. That's 5 shots of .38 special. I asked him why didn't he carry a glock 17 with a +2 base plate. He laughed his ***** off. Said if you shoot then a bad guy isn't going to stay and play Die Hard with you. I said "it feels better to have more shots". He shrugged me off like I didn't know anything. This is why I'm asking you guys.
