Anyone Ever Use Gun Appraisers dot Com?

I just discovered a shotgun I've had in possesion is a 1898 LC Smith, medium grade!

I sent off for an online appraisal from Gun-Appraisers.com

I sent in ten pics and mucho information, and it's only like $20. Not wanting to sell the shotgun, I was just curious about value. I have done some research online, and realize there have only been like 2044 of these models made, and just wanted a "ballpark" value...

Anyone have any experience with them?

    Thanks in advance...

        LC

LC's run all over the board 300-10,000. There not much to go on in your post. A good start and an important start is if your LC is still in original condition or has it been redone at any time?

I would just use gunbroker, gunsamerica or gunshows to get you an accurate price something is selling for. Appraisal values and market values are two different numbers.

            NOT FOR SALE!

Thanks for your reply. It indicates to be a 1898, Medium grade (which is good), with auto-ejectors. The LC Smith website says only 2094 (or so?) were made.

It has been NOT been retouched in any way. It has some rust at the muzzle of each barrel, but the gun is in otherwise excellent condition. I would NOT attempt to restore it, from the little I have learned.

It has some fantastic scrolling on the reciever, and is in otherwise "good" condition.

Thanks for the replies... Here's a few pics.
