the law is actually one gun per 30 24hr periods. To keep it simple 30 days from the time of your dros, so 20 days after you pick up your gun from 10 day jail you can dros a new handgun purchase. Ed

If this helps, I think you can purchase for example two handguns at the same time. On one the FFL will start the DROS and the other will be held until the time period for the first one elapses. Then another DROS is started on the second handgun..

Yes, you can pay for as many handguns as you want, and just have the FFL hold them until your 30-days are up. There have been many CG'ers that had 5-10 handguns on hold, waiting for the DROS window to open up on each one. In those cases, it would be worth getting a C&R FFL + COE combo so that you would be exempt from the 1-in-30 rule.
