Why are Ruger LCP priced so high in the private sales forum? I thought these MSRP around $299.

you cannot just buy an LCP for $300 in california, same reason every off list, or hard to find firearm sells for so much.

I think its wrong for someone to sell them for $500+ , its like playing monopoly with people that want them and have no choice to pay an extra $200 for a gun that is $300! and these are LEO people are buying them from that are making a profit from us hard working citizens. I just don't think its right!

It's called capitalism. They are hard to get, command a premium. I'm not saying it's fair, but there are people who are willing to pay that. I snatched an LCP up a couple weeks ago from a trade in, and did NOT want to sell it. A guy came in asking for one, and was told the last one went to me. He walked over and put $400 dollars on the counter. I told him he was offering a bit much, but he insisted he wanted it and would pay for it. I declined, but then he said "okay, $450." I no longer have it.

That's right. It's a conspiracy. It's big government reachin in your pocket and sappin you for a premium price on a gun.

Riddle me this Batman... When I was at the Chevy dealer two weeks ago to look at the new Camaro SS I was told they were selling for about 4k over sticker and I had to order it if I wanted to lock up a car for myself.

Are these money grabbin dealers scamming me just like all those dirty cops selling off list guns? Nope. It's what the market demands and buyers are willing to pay.

Just like the ammo issues in the recent past. If you want it, you'll pay the premium price. But don't go whining about it because you can't afford it or refuse to accept the fact someone is making a buck on your desires to have something someone else doesn't.

So quit crying about not having an off list gun. Start your grass roots effort to end the list or join the party and come on in for the big win.

I want an LCP for $299, then I want the retail price to go to $599. Or, I want to several LCP's for $299, so I can one & sell the rest for $500.

I'd rather have a 2011 Mustang as the power is nearly the same and they weigh a lot less.
Yeah, I'm bummed about the off list premium. Blame your government. The guns will sell for whatever people will pay for them.
