i've been meaning to check prado out. i was just wondering how the atmosphere there was. is there a place for people there who just want to informally bust clays, or is it a bit more structured than that? also, do they let the public use the remote control for the throwers, or is it strictly the staff doing that for you? thanks.

I shoot there all the time. It is a pretty relaxed environment. I just took a bunch of scouts there a couple of weeks ago for merit badges in shotgun and used the remote instead of the microphones. They even froze the trap oscillator for me. I would just let them know when you buy the tickets that that is what you are going to do.

Decent place, glad they are recovering from the flood they had in the area. My only gripes are the firing line arrangement on how you change your targets is a bit odd especially if it is crowded and I'm not pleased that the rifle range is closed to us "civilians".
