    .45 meditation

Went to the range today, shot 200 rounds of .45 and one round of Magnum .460 (like holding an M80 in front of your face) and on the drive home I noticed something, I was relaxed, calm, Mr ******* tailgating me didn't rile me, Mr douche "breathe on your neck" in the check line didn't bother me, in fact nothing has bother me since around 4 PM.
Anyone else ever get this from some range time? Anyone else feel relaxed after shooting?

Of course. Shooting is great for stress relief.

I actually started shooting again while I was going through a rough patch in life. Without shooting, I would have lost my mind, I'm quite sure.

I always feel great after shooting my target 10/22. I attribute it to having to concentrate on my breathing, being light on the trigger and concentrating on the target.

Blasting stuff with my 12 gauge is great also, but I don't get the same relaxation from it.

I only get that feeling after shooting something heavy. If I go shoot .45 all day it doesn't seem to do it for me, but if I break out a .44, I feel better.

Sometimes it doesn't take heavy rounds, but shooting something besides paper, that makes me smile. I was having a horrible day before I got to shoot a car door a couple hundred times last week. Most of that was with a .357 and a .40 - felt great.

The range always soothes my nerves.

Ruger SRH in .454 is my anti-stress meditation device.
300 grains @ 1900 fps and a 2 foot fireball can be very soothing.
              YMMV..
              Regards,
              Mike

Yes, shooting is great therapy and usually calms my nerves on my drive home from the range...

It is great therapy, but the trick is to avoid thinking about how much money you just burned through because of ammo.

I really need to pick up my bow, I have been in a crappy way as of late.

Absolutely therapeutic to spend some time at the range. Stress just melts away, while focusing on form and targets.
