    Paranoid about buying more guns....

So i got an ar15, mini 14, gsg5, and glock, not the biggest arsenal by any means, but definately more than you regular citizen i think. I really want to buy a .308, but im seriously paranoid that maybe im gonna get placed on some government watch list or something because its a pretty badass weapon.

I dont know, you never know especially with the current regime and all the latest fbi crackdowns on "militias" aka any gun owner the government wants to infringe upon...it seems buying a high caliber rifle in 308 is gonna raise some red flags. What about all you guys with 20-30 gun collections, think you are on some special list for LEO to have in case they impose martial law and take guns away?

Call me paranoid or bat**** crazy but this is making me hesitant to buy an AR10. What about a remington 700?

Am i just being overly paranoid or are my fears somewhat right?

And is british nato surplus .308 good quality? Lol...im stocking up on 308 at the moment in case i decide to grow some huevos and buy my 308 post apocalyptic zombie horde battle rifle...

Absolutely. You should not buy any more guns. Everybody knows that Obama has a secret plan to nationalize all US corporations, create FBI files on every single citizen, declare martial law and confiscate all firearms and candy from its citizens, turn the US into an Islamic socialist dictatorship, and surrender sovereignty of the country to the UN, not necessarily in that order.

Paranoid much? Just wrap the ar10 in tinfoil so the government can't see where your hiding it.

              OP,

by calguns standards, you have a long way to go....

as for your question, dont worry about it. of the firearms that you listed, the only one of them that is uniquely tied to you is the glock.

the gsg, ar, min14 are not 'registered' to you in any way. if you look at the dros forms for those guns, you will notice that there is no make/model/serial number/color/anything tied to it. All that DROS shows is that you successfully completed a background check that day. period. that's it.

there isnt a .gov agency out there that can tie those long guns to you.

those are all 'long rifles', according to the rules. a "long rifle" could be an AR, 10-22, .461 barrett, etc. It is an extraordinarily broad term that literally encompasses tens of thousands different rifles.

so yes, run out and get that .308 that you have been lusting after. then buy a .30cal semi. then get a .22lr plinker. then get a...you get the picture?

              happy purchasing.

So you honeslty believe that big brother cant tie long arms to you?
Make, Model, and SN are all on form 4473.
The feds can determine via SN when/where a Gun was made, where it was distributed and who bought it. All it takes is a little leg work.
FFL's are required to keep 4473 form readily accesible.
While there is no national or state database the info is not very hard to track down.
The only time they cant determine where a gun is, is if it has been sold face to face cash and carry.
Why do you think they want to close the so called "gun show loophole".

OP, that's a pretty small collection to get paranoid over. When you run out of room in the safe, then the closet, when your wife starts dumping them on the floor because there's no room left on the bed, when you find one leaned up in a corner you forgot buying then you've got an arsenal worth worrying about.

well since i bought alot of 308 ammo already il probably end up buying a 308 rifle anyways, but maybe instead of ar10 il get a R700. Ar10 is a straight battle rifle, id think that SOMEONE out there who's against gun ownership is taking a tally of people owning high caliber guns like 308, .50 cal, etc. thats the kinda firepower that can fight against the military/police and i KNOW someone in government is planning the eventual martial law that we all fear.
