    M4 vs A2

I have a m4 .556 with iron sights. I normally shoot at the range at 100 and 200 yard targets and maintain fairly tight groups. My question is if I install a Bull barrel 1:8 twist 24" long, what is the longest range I should hope to maintain tight groups. Considering no wind and choosing the correct bullet ?
Would 1000 yards be out of the question ? And of course I would be using optics. Or will the barrel have no effect on distance?

Yeah, you are right I am new. , thanks

Your accuracy will stay the same but your velocity with increase.
Military shoots 5.56 up to 600 yards with a 16 in barrel.
So with the right bullet weight, weather and all that fun stuff, it could be possible, hard but possible.
I'd rather be judged by twelve, than carried by six...
