Gunrunners in Duarte, only been open a couple of weeks. The owners told me they're expecting a LARGE consignment of guns soon.626-358-7711
Gunslingers in Glendora. They have auctions periodically, with good prices. Nice folks to do business with.626-914-7010Comment

Just thought I would add my recent experiences to the thread.
I went shopping for an SA-XD last month and visited Turners in Pasadena as well as Turners in Covina. I also stopped by Gunrunners in Duarte.
My initial visit to Turners in Pasadena was terrible. The salesman was rude, spoke poor English, and abandoned me as soon as I mentioned I would not be purchasing that day.
I waited until the weekend and drove around to see who else was in the area. I stopped by Turners in Azusa and was impressed with the friendly help there. They were quick to assist (even on the weekend) and were cheerful to deal with.
I also made a trip to Gunrunners in Duarte. The guys (well, guy) were very nice and helpful. Unfortunately they did not stock any 9mm XDs and could not tell me a price on the bi-tone model, and judging by the markup on the standard version, I estimate it would have been $20-$30 higher than Turners. I was not in a hurry to buy but was disappointed that I could not get a firm price on what I thought was a popular model. And considering the inflated cost of firearms in California, the potential price difference was enough to matter to me.
I paid a second visit to Turners in Pasadena, and this time dealt with Brian who was, by far, the nicest salesman I've ever met. Period. I suppose it was helpful that I knew what I wanted, so he didn't have to sell me anything. Long story short, I was in and out in about 30 minutes after paperwork. I picked up the XD on Wednesday and I am completely satisfied.
In conclusion: Depending on your particular needs, I believe all three stores should be considered "Good gunshops", and are competitive in both pricing and customer service.Comment
