    stock for glocks...

CA legal? I know tossing a VFG on the front rail would place it well in AW law, but what about just adding a stock and a custome barrel

Its total mall ninja, but adding a couple inches on the barrel and you have a nice glock carbine.

Isn't adding a stock to a pistol always a no no?

I would not recommend you installing it while in Cali.

You could do that but you would be creating an SBR and you need a tax stamp for that. That would be a NFA item which could get you in a ton of trouble with the feds if they don't have that registred.
Needless to say you will be looking at prison time as far as California laws are concerned.
                Don't do it.

If your barrel was 16" or longer, and you fixed the magazine in place, and met the OAL that would be OK, in California. However, once you attach that stock, you may not remove it. You can turn a pistol into a rifle, but you may never go back to a pistol. The biggest problem I see is that even if you affix a 16" barrel, if you ever took the stock off for cleaning, maint, etc, you could be in violation of CA AW/SBR laws if the firearm still functions due to it being less than 30".

So yes, with a fixed magazine, and a 16" barrel, and never removing the stock before the firearm is inoperable, you would be GTG even in CA.

How about in another state for example Nevada would this be legal to use or does it still need a tax stamp to legally use this stock ?

You create a SBR with a stock/pistol barrel. That's a federal violation of the NFA, so even Nevada won't help you there
