We can build school desks out of them.....park benches out of ak47's.....swingsets made from sks's......maybe some crutches for the handicapped out of FAL barrels. Instead of expensive prosthetic limbs, we can just tack on a rusty AK barrel to that stump and POW!!! Your walkin again! Now get your as$ back in that diamond mine!

You believe everything any government tells you? Those were proabably the crappiest guns of the bunch on display for PR and the best captured weapons have already been distributed/sold appropriately.

I cringed at the thought of all them firearms being burned..but I agree with Stanze, most of these firearms are "buried" firearms. My grandfather had a M1 garand, some japanese rifles, pistols and a bazooka that he buried in his backyard. Don't know what happened to those.

But I'm thinking that the good ones are being kept by officials in "secured private" lockers . For the 25 years of my life in the Philippines I still have to see a "honest" cop there. I got pulled over one time and they were asking for money instead of my license

I do have some friends that are in the military and police and from what I hear from them, higher ups are corrupted as hell.

Destroying guns, regardless of its mechanical functionality, as a publicity stunt is so un-Filipino. But then again, you really can't expect much from those mindless political clowns in the Philippine government.
