    Attention LA/Pasadena area hunter/shooters!

I picked up a flyer for the Highland Park Sportsmen’s club at the Pasadena Turners last week. It looked interesting so I checked out the website (http://www.highlandparksportsmensclub.com/) and went to their meeting last night. They were a great group of guys with a very full schedule of hunting, fishing and shooting events lined up this year:

    2007 YEAR EVENTS

    MARCH 25 TRAP & SKEET (TROPHY)-OAK TREE
APRIL . 22 SM. BORE & PISTOL (ANGELES)
MAY 20 ANNUAL PICNIC & SPORTING CLAYS
JUNE 24 BIG BORE & BENCH (TROPHY) ANGELES
    JULY 22 TURKEY OAK TREE
    SEP. DOVE OPENING
    OCT. QUAIL , DEER season
    NOV. PHEASANT,DUCK

I had no idea that this kind of club was in LA let alone had been here 50 years! It’s only $30 to join, check it out!
By the way..they came across as AK/AR friendly not Zumbos

I would join the Valley Hunt Club except I don't have the prerequisite pole up my arse.

Thanks for sharing your experience with them. I've heard of them through Turner's email blasts, but never got a chance to join up...even though I grew up in Highland Park for 25+ years.
