Moving to CA, off list wish list

My GF lives in Colorado and recently became my fiance... so our plan is for her to move back here to CA for about 4 years and then we can move wherever we want. I'm thinking since she currently lives in CO and has a CO license, etc, she could purchase a few handguns for me that I would otherwise not be able to purchase. Since I'm not up on what is legal, and what is desirable but not accessible, I'm hoping someone here can help me with a few suggestions.

I have a Sig P226/9mm now, and I'm looking at maybe getting another Sig in 45 and also would like to get something smaller and more concealable for when I am traveling out of state, etc. Also I am hoping to get an AR at some point, is there any benefit in having her purchase one out of state and bring it in?

I collect Military Arms and enjoy shooting in local matches. I also collect older Lever Actions, especially those chambered in odd/old cartridges. If you have a nice old Winchester or Marlin in 25-20, 32-40, 38-55, 40-60, 45-70, etc etc, please PM me and we can work out a deal.

    I would get a XDm9 and a HK P30S myself.

AR's not so much benefit buying out of state. You can get one here. You still need a magazine lock, ie. Raddlock, Bullet Button, Prince50.
Now before anyone claims your intentions as being a "Straw Purchase", as long as you aren't a prohibited person, you and the Mrs. To be are good to go.
XDM or XDM 3.8 are very desirable here.
Also the Sig P226 Combat 9mm or any of the Sig Elites. The Ruger LCP in .38 is great for CCW. Have fun choosing.

FNP45. It's a really fantastic firearm, 10rd mags are available from FN, it's not on the handgun roster, so there is LOTS of built in demand.

Thanks for the replies, yes we are both legal to own with no issues, and I'm not planning to sell anything, so I didn't mean to sound like I was intending to make a straw purchase. In fact I would imagine whatever pistol she decides on would remain in her name/ownership, since I am pretty happy with what I have... although I do think one of the beavertail Sigs would be a nice wedding gift

          That FNP looks very interesting!!
