    Storing Guns

Does anyone have ideas for where I might store all my weapons other than my house?
Currently they are stored in a gun safe in my apartment, however I plan on taking a 6 month trip in the not to distant future and will not be keeping the apartment, where else could I store these?

rent a storage unit you feel is a safe place and pack your safe in first and all your stuff in front of it... And then have a good friend check on it every so often. (insure nobody clears it out) Or come up to my place (30 minutes) from you and hide it there or bury it with my Bobcat tractor...

I am pretty sure some Calguns members would let you store your guns at their places.

          Family?

I would also lather everything up very well just in case something were to happen.

I don't really know anyone here personally, storage is an idea and I suppose you can get insurance on stuff in storage.

Public Storage is a decent place for storage but I wouldn't put anything of value there. They provide insurance just make sure to ask how many thefts or break-ins they've had in the past XX months. Also, some shooting ranges offer gun storage so you could check around. GL.

A storage unit will work, be sure to get an indoor climate controlled one that has alarms on the units. There's several places like that in the Sacramento area.
