Voting 2A

My girl is a 2a supporter (not as hardcore as me), I wouldnt be with her if she wasnt. With that being said, she cant believe that when I look at a candidate, the first thing I check is if they are Pro or Anti (2A) and If they are Anti, i look no further. I dont care what else they stand for, I have no time for them. I dont care if they are Dem/REPUB/LIBER/etc. Thats what I look for first in a candidate. IMHO, 99% of the politicians arent worth much. It also makes for finding a suitable candidate for me very hard as I like idea's on both sides of the isle.

Am I alone in this matter?

Also,Without getting into details, which Presidential hopefulls are at least 2A?

Always check for progun and NRA rating. As for politicians ( Demicans or Republicrats?)they all travel on thier bellies.

For now, 2A has to be the largest informant. I hope that will change in the near future.

Of the current front runners, this is the situation.

1. McCain - 2A support - probably. 1A can be struck down to keep him in office - screw your bill of rights.
2. Guliani - 2A is only applicable if you don't live in an urban environment.
3. Obama - All semi-autos should be banned.
4. Clinton - Mrs. Brady? What was it you wanted me to ban again?

It is not pretty out there.

I run through the same routine when researching candidates. I don't believe any of them, but if they at least SAY they support the 2A then I at least give them a chance.

If they don't support the 2nd there ain't a damn thing worth supporting them for. Whether or not they support of the 2nd is the best way to determine what they think about you as an individual.

Write in a candidate you feel best supports your ideals. Get away from the notion of thinking that you have to vote for a major party candidate.

My candidates never win. Shocking.

Hey, in political circles, that really is weird!

The thing that bugs me about the NRA ratings, is they'd rather support an anti-gun Republican than a pro-gun independent.

I don't care what anyone says, it's not "throwing away your vote" when you vote for who you believe in and actually support, rather than voting for the popular guy you hate.

I don't think that's a true statement about NRA. I've seen them always grade the guy with the best pro gun voting record or responses to their questionnaire best.

I personally love the contests where its an A versus and A-. I'll take either of those guys any day.

I also vote solely on 2A. All the other things mean less to me. Even taxes.
The gun ban of 1994 got me in Orange County to buy a gun (never really wanted one but since theyre gonna be banned all of a sudden I did) and register my butt to vote R or Pro-Gun on every single candidate on every list I could vote on. I also got other buddies at my store I worked at to register and vote R or pro-gun.

That gun ban cost the Dems a lot and got me into guns and politics big time. Thanks Clinton its a great hobby.

I don't know where you got your information from, but Romney was born in Detroit, Michigan. He was also the former governor of Massachusetts.

As Governor, Mitt Romney has been one of the most anti-gun Republicans. A typical Northeastern Liberal Republican in the mold of Rockefellar, basically a RINO.

I vote solely on 2A as well. If both candidates suck, my tiebreaker is to vote Republican or, if available, Libertarian.
