At our property up in Auburn we have had some weird stuff happening over the past 2 years.
One time about 2 years ago a good buddy was staying at my shop (which is about 300 ft away from the house) and he called me on my cell about 12-1am and said get down here "Someone is here".
I of course did not believe him but as a good back up buddy I went down with shot gun in hand as he asked (yeah I walked in the dark which I hate)
As I went down to the shop my buddy had fired a shotgun (of his own) into the hill side next to my shop as a warning. (He told me he was going to do this so I was prepared) So we stood around looking for someone with the lights all off. We did not talk but our eye's quickly became adjusted to the dark with the moon as a backlight. When we got to a certain area in my woods along my front fence row we heard a little russling of leaves and we stood there static for like 5 minutes just listening.
While doing that we heard a LOUD bang on the outside metal of my shop like someone slapped the steel and it shook or someone rang into the building.
I of course at this point did think someone was out in the woods. (My guess 2 at least) One we were probably almost on top of one person and the other one that ran into or slapped my building to drag us towards them. Weird but true.
Another time maybe 1 year ago Steel Rain and myself (He does not post or visit much) were BBQing at maybe 7-8pm or so. He and I and our ladies and the kids and dogs out back. After a few minutes his lady came in and said "Someone is here" She said saw someone walking up my driveway with a flashlight. Not at all un-common as I was thinking it was my brother who was now staying at the shop. I see him walk around with a flashlight sometimes. But the dogs were going nuts but it sorta made sense... After about 10 minutes I called him cuz he never showed up.
He answered but was half asleep and said it was not him. So we hopped in my Toyota 4x4 just peeking to see who it was... We went dark and parked and we heard some stuff in the woods. But truly it could have been wind or who knows what... But weird and also true again.
TONIGHT my lady and I were watching TV and I was (yeah you guessed it on CalGuns) and the outside lights were all off with a few inside lights on. The 2 big dogs were quiet except the 3rd little lap dog my lady has it was super yappy.
After about 15 minutes my lady looked out near the front porch and saw a red light right outside... And said you guess it... "Something is here"
I looked and saw it as well but it looked like 1 bright light in the center with dimmer ones on each side. I popped up and hit the outside lights and without looking grabbed my one Ar pattern rifle with a 260 lumen light. By the time I got out on the porch to peek nothng was there.
I went outside and saw like 3 jack rabbits but no humans... Normally the rabbits bolt into the darkness with the sight of us but not tonight...
The whole deal was very weird.
My lady was thinking a laser but I was thinking a video camera "recording" light. Sorta freaky weird but true.
Anyway our 11 acre property is fenced with mostly wrought iron and nobody should be on our land unless invited, espescially at night. We had called Police for stuff before and the average ETA is about 35-40 minutes so far... Glad we are armed and fully love our 2A rights...
But a funny end to this all was that the "lap" dog had dragged one of the kids toothbrush that guess what?
It blinks with 3 red lights.... WTF we are goof balls or what? Thought 1 oe 2 of your may laugh at our expense.
Ok so I do consider myself prepared (Not paranoid in anyway) but 1 mess up out of 3 is pretty good right? Hahha
