Are the plastic dry boxes by MTM or Action (about 12x18x8) any good for storing ammo or will they come apart?

Ammo Boxes

A veteran - whether active duty, reserve, national guard or retired - is someone who, at one point in their life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life." - That is Honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it.Tags: None -
I use the smaller 50 round boxes, and they work fine. Just make sure to have silica packs in and around the area you decide to store them in. You don't want moisture getting on the outside of the cartridge. They will corrode which can weaken the brass, take care.

I'd stay with the metal ones as you can always use that to throw at the bad guy when you run out of ammo.
Until the Costa Mesa gun show this past weekend, I didn't even know they made those, having only seen the metal ones before. Are they strong enough to hold up.Comment

Plastic dry boxed doesn't handle full load well.
I load my Cabela's box and the lid will flex and not seal when I lift it up.
It works fine for going/coming from range.
GI cans are the best for long term storage.'Cuz big holes are easier to see.
You can correct my spelling and grammar error anytime.
I welcome it. How else would I learn.Comment
