Ammo prices returning to (almost) normal

$401.00 including tax for 1000K rounds of Winchester WB .45 ball today.

10 100 round bulk packs - two shipping boxes.

    I was paying $360.00 a K OTD for PMC .45 ball in 08 into 09.
The way some gunshop clerks spout off, you'd think that they invented gunpowder and the repeating rifle, and sat on the Supreme Court as well.

Of course. Just as I predicted, a lot of the retailers and manufacturers here were spreading FUD to increase sales and profits at the time, and that it would be a matter of time until production caught up with demand and demand decreased, as well.

What is considered normal? I used to get the WWB 100rd packs at Walmart for $26. I believe they are $32.97 right now if you can find them.

Picked up some Federal 50rd packs for $15.97 yesterday.

Not all ammo is dropping in price. I was just in Walmart and picked up some Federal 550 packs for $18.97 each. 2 weeks ago they were $15.97 each. 6 months ago they were $14.97 each.

That doesn't sound normal; normal for 45ACP ball was around $10/50 rds.

                        LOL stay around a while.

I remember picking up PMC 45 auto for 180 a case of 1000 from local shops not too long ago(in 05 and 06).

The prices now are still inflated.

We used to get CCI 22LR bricks for 8 dollars per 500 back in 05.

Exactly. And those prices were pretty much constant for at least 15-20 years prior.
