Like others had mentioned, keep driving another 10-15 minutes and you are a lot safer and don't have to keep looking over your shoulder.

I've been shooting off stoddard wells and dale Evans for 15 years, talked to many BLM Rangers. Most recently about a month ago. I go very far off the highway and always shoot into a good mountain sized backstop. They always checked that I'm being legal and safe and said carry on. Not to say you won't have an issue, it only takes one idiot to ruin it for the rest of us.

You guys are nuts for posting up where you shoot. Hope 12 months from now no one is saying "this used to be a nice clean, quiet place to shoot"

Thread is 6+ years old. Look what happened to Hodge rd Of course it was probably doomed way before that.

Your 110% correct. I stopped posting the area I shoot, I wasn't thinking, again

Looking at the BLM maps, there's a small window around there that allows long guns, other then that, anything below the 58 is shotgun only, is that correct?

It takes a lot of balls to play golf the way I do.

Hodge Rd has been thrashed for over 25yrs and us hardly a secret. I never disclose my personal favorite spots to shoot.

Correct, Hodge Rd falls within that small window. It is the first legal spot to shoot when traveling north on the 15. That's why its always been the most well known BLM spot in San Bernardino county.

Rumor has it that CalGuns may be involved with a large Range area clean up towards November 5th off of Hodge road.

Would be cool to get all the regular barstow shooters out there.

For the last 2 or 3 months the prevalent reason people want to join the AVGC is they are looking for a safe place to shoot. They all say Hodge Rd is unsafe.

It's legal, just watch your azz out there as there's a lot of dumbchits who shoot across roads, or shoot into open desert with no backstop. 4 weeks ago someone started shooting across 2 dirt roads and into the area my family and myself were shooting, luckily my Dodge was parked behind us,because it took a 223 to the fender and lodged into the spindle. Last weekend, again someone started bump stocking it into our sight again, just puffs of dirt flying everywhere from bullet impacts, just watch yourself is the short story I guess. I had strong words with both those idiots both times. AVGC is looking mighty nice, just need to get off my butt and join...
