I don't know anything about the legality of rebuild magazines with +10 capacity. Can I buy it from another gun owner through private transfer?

Basically IF you have owned complete hi cap mags BEFORE the 2000 assault weapon ban aka AWB then you can legally purchase a rebuild kit to repair/fix your existing hi cap mags you cannot purchase rebuild kits to maake/manufacture NEW mags from the kits
if you make new mags from the rebuildkits then that violates the law
you cannot sell or trade hi cap mags in California you can sell kits but since you did t own them you can't legally assemble themLast edited by Rob454; 03-19-2010, 10:09 AM. -

Frozen in 2015, it is falling out of date and I can no longer edit the content. But much of it is still good!Comment

Only been discussed about 1000 times. Mags cannot be transferred, sold, bought, given, made, or imported.
If you have mags that you owned before 12/31/99 then you can legally rebuild those mags with new components. There are 3 kinds of people in this world.

They would just be parts so in theory you could but I cant see that you would want to. Unless you're banking on the fact that they will become legal or that you will move/travel out of state.Comment
