Wolf ammo. Where can I find a range to shoot at? Socal please.

Well didn't do my homework before buying about 500 rounds of wolf ammo. Both 40 and 7.62x39. I am local to Hawthorne and recently visited L.A.X. Firing Range and was informed that this ammo is not allowed. Guess they find it hard to seperate my steel ammo casing from there brass. Evening though they charge me a sur charge for not buying there ammo which is already upcharged. Left upset and confused. Was looking for some help to find a range within an hour or two away. Thanks in advance for any and all help.

Kinda far for you, but On-Target in Laguna Niguel allows any standard ammo. I shot Brown Bear (same as Wolf or Tula) - 500 rounds w/o a problem.

      Rifle and handgun, no problem.

All they have to do is run a magnet over the brass pile on the floor to pick up steel ones.
        So lame.

        Something like this.

'Cuz big holes are easier to see.

You can correct my spelling and grammar error anytime.
I welcome it. How else would I learn.

The biggest issue with Wolf in rifle calibers is the bi-metal jacket, that sparks. I'm not aware of any rifle range that will always allow it although Burro will in wet seasons.
Alot isn't a word and allot isn't the word you think it is.

I'd really like a Colt 1903 frame, bad finish okay!
I'm also looking for a good deal on a 1911 frame or two for budget/spare parts builds.

I'm pretty sure you will be OK at Sharpshooter in Torrance. Call them first to confirm:

That's really not the issue... it wrecks steel targets faster, it sparks and can be a fire hazard, tendency to ricochet a lot more than lead etc...

Pistol caliber only at Sharpshooters, no x39 going on there.

And I've seen plenty of steel cases on the ground there.

+1 on burro. When it's safe to use it they're pretty free about it. They are not fooling around come summer however, and trying to sneak it by the boys up the canyon will earn you a quick trip home.

Insight is pistol caliber only. 7.62x39 is a no go.

Lytle creek dont give a damn! I went there and they dont care about steel cases aslong as the core isnt solid steel. I didnt think they even cared about that much. I was a burro canyon supporter for years. Not any more. I like Lytle creek. Plus they let me drive onto the range in my 4x4 to set up my targets. So its like two trips in one. A little 4x4 action and a whole lot of shooting bliss.
