    Keltec SU-16 pin

I may have lost the pin for my Keltec. Any suggestions where to get one? I think I prefer to pick one up locally (SF Bay area) but ordering one online isn't a big deal. Hope these things aren't expensive.

    Thanks.

This website goes over alot of usefull stuff about the SU-16. It says that:
the takedown pin is easily replaced with a 1/4 inch hitch pin, available at any hardware store for about $2.00. You could carry a spare or just replace it ahead of time. The hitch pin has a ring attached which makes it easy to secure.

I'd try to find a pin that's not quite as long as the one shown, but this really does make for a cheap and easy fix that actually works very well!!
the real ones aren't very expensive from Kel Tec either if you'd rather have that.

    hope it helps.

    Cheers!

Additional point... you can easily clip a single point sling onto the hitch pin.

I use an appropriate length clevis pin and a split ring for a single point sling attachment spot.

                LOL. Nice one.

If you give KT a call, they might send it to you for free. I got 3 firing pins and other things from them for free. Not that I free loaded from them, their customer service is just that good!

this was a great idea to post!!!
i did this a long while back... and it is a great mod!!!

i purchased 1 that was a little long and cut it down so it fit flush on the "nonringed" side. in my experience the hitchpins are a little thicker then the factory ones but thats good since it donsent have the groove for the spring to sit in..

there was a a guy who sold some aluminum ones on ebay with the groove and anodized black for like 10 bucks pretty good quality too!

Thanks! I was thinkin theyd probably send him a free one. But the hitch pin with the ring would be cooler.
