    BB at Angeles?

I didn't know if this should have been posted on the "legal" section, but since I know the BB is legal, I'll place it here. Has anyone taken out there BB OLL up to Angeles? I was just wondering if they were ok with that?

Yes, BB guns are allowed at Angeles Forest, but they may check your BBs with a magnet, to be sure they are not steel core - they don't allow steel core BB's as they may start a brush fire from sparking on impact. Use only Copper BBs and you should be OK.

I was actually told at Insights range I could shoot pellets but no BB's! Very strange as they allow shotguns.

HA HA HA HA !!! So true! They don't even ask me if they can check my ammo. They just open up my ammo case and go at it. First time they checked me was when I was 18.(I am now 23) I was sooo excited. I had just bought my brand new Ruger Mini 14 rifle. First firearm I ever purchased. I sighted in my scope. After I was done, I was shooting the metal targets at about 300 yards. All of a sudden the range officer asked me to stop firing. He opened up my ammo can and was going crazy in there. I was shooting American Eagles, so I was good.

            Yes we do ask.

And we allow any rifle pistol or shotgun that is not under legal minimum length requirements or full auto.

Bullet button or no bullet button it is aloud. Most line officers know about the bullet button because i have shown them mine. Just make sure you drop the mag during cease fires

By the way, the last time I was at angeles, there were some very very cool range officers. I meant no disrespect towards you or anyone else who works there. I love angeles. Policies are policies. We as law abiding citizens should respect the rules. I say if you don't like it, don't shoot there. The fact remains that at the time, no one asked me. But I really don't care, I had nothing to hide.

You guys have an OK facility but...

WORST range staff ever. My fiancee was absolutely appalled at the lack of professionalism and rudeness of the staff towards both of us even though we broke no rules or pissed in anybodies Cheerios. Unless you were a gang banger Salvatrucha Zerohead who does as they please as the suburban commando staff is too scared to say anything.

*BTW, she is laughing as I type this. You guys sucked that bad. She was livid.*
And God said \"taketh your rifles, all of ye, all but those unto the nation of California, for exempt must their rifles be and the resth are forlorn.\" So sayth the Lord.

Can you site examples of how we were rude or unprofessional. I work as a line officer and take this personally.

                      No Probs here

Actually I have been there many times with my son, his girlfriend, co-workers and never had a problem with the RO's or any of the staff. I have found them to be great even after I brought out the wrong box of ammo. Shame on me.
Anyway...enjoy your rights before those lib politicians try and take them away!
