How Old Is Everyone On CG?

my wife made an observation at the range last week that most shooters are older (50+). i know that this isn't true as i always see younger folks as well, but that particular day, everyone looked to retired.

anyway, how old do you believe the percentage of shooter's are?

i'm sure there are reasons to this as growing up, i believe the media was anti-gun (as it still is today), and there probably was big decrease in shooter's since the 90's (also all the restrictions in CA).

my theory is that all that impacted the growth of shooters.

anyway, my wife and just got into our 30's, and my 10 year old son is already shooting, and i plan on starting my two year old daughter on shooting when she's 6. hope i start a family tradition w/ this is my parents weren't really big on shooting.

Old enough to know better and too young to care and I have grandchildren older than your daughter
I'm only smiling at you while you talk to me because it's hilarious that you really think I give a crap about you.

As I've gotten older I thought I was gaining patience, then I realized I simply don't give a crap.

Was in college when the OP was born, and been shooting since single digits. So yeah... I'm old.

56 here, learned the craft in the military. Stopped shooting after and picked it up again when my son showed an interest, he is 26 and we go at least one a month.
When I go to an indoor range and they get ready to give me a lane, I ask who is shooting a rented gun, I don't shoot next to them.

                46 with a 24 year-old son and a daughter almost 16. I started shooting at 18.
My son is now interested and my daughter is getting interested in shooting. My son and I try to go once a month. Wife and daughter go when they feel like it, not a lot.
My Dad and son were both in Military, I was not.

This post should be turned in to a poll so people can state their age anonymously.

29, almost 30. I have a 7 year old son who's just starting to shoot, same age I started.

Old enough to know what's right, young enough not to choose it.
