    What to get next?

I dont really have many firearms and I'm wondering what I should get next.
    What I have so far....

    1. Ruger 10/22

    2. Mossberg 500 w/28" barrel for clay shooting

Now I'm thinking a pistol would be next but I've got some limitations. One I'm a poor college student. 2 Im left handed. 3 I'm a poor left handed college student.

So essentially something economically viable with ambidextrous features. I was thinking of a CZ 82 they go for around $220 but the CA legal magazines are $40 unless someone knows a cheaper one?

I'm not sure about their ambidextrosity (I think I made a word). But yeah, or maybe a Buckmark. I have a Sig Mosquito and I wouldn't recommend them, their a little finicky. Also heard good things about Walther P22s.

Everybody here is going to tell you something different. You should go to some gun stores and rent some pistols. Then buy what feels good to you. Or shoulder Rifles or Shotguns and buy what fits you.

You're going to get a variety of advice. If I were in your situation, I would consider two things: (1) for what purpose do I need my next gun, and (2) in the long run, what guns do I want to own?

For (1), if you are looking for something for HD (since you already have a shotgun), you might want a 9mm or larger caliber pistol. If you are looking for something for plinking, get a .22lr pistol to go along with your 10/22. (IMO, everyone needs a 10/22 and a .22lr pistol). It will be fun to shoot and easy on your budget. If you need something for hunting or competition shooting, ... (You get the picture.)

As for (2), spend some time thinking about what you want to do with your guns. Much like in (1), consider HD, target shooting, hunting, competition and plinking. Then consider the distances and calibers. And consider how many guns you really want to own in the long run. Once you have done that, you can start to develop a list. Try some new guns at the range. Ask friends to try out their guns. And read this and other boards. Each will give you some ideas. Finally, consider your priorities (based on cost and usefulness for you.) Then you will have a list of what you want, and in what order to buy them. I have my own list that gets longer every day. Refine your list over time. If you have a list, you can look for good deals on what you want (because you already know what you want).

                          I hope that helps.
