Mag limit for hunting

Anyone know which F&G code tells us what the magazine limit for hunting with rifles is?? I want to check a favorite pistol caliber lever rifle. Also want to read what it says about handguns..
Maybe I'm crazy, but that's my question & I'm sticking to it..

I dont know which code it is, but I do know the mag limit in cali.
There is no limit unless your using a shotgun. Then its three.

There is no limit for pistols or rifles. Just have to have a barrel over 3 inch.

Is that the federal requirement for migratory water fowl, or is it a PRK law for anything you're trying to shoot??

OK, thanks! We plug our old Winny SG for hunting, but thought there was a 5 state round limit on rifles.

For specific area I suggest contacting the local game warden to verify if there may be any particular restrictions.

For example: Fort Hunter Liggett 10 years ago had handgun restrictions (I do not know if still current), such as I thought barrels must be over 6 inches and ammo must be hollow point... I do not know of mag restrictions for rifles. I think shot guns had to have block in place so shotgun could not hold more than 3 rounds.

Just to clarify, for a shotgun it's two in the tube and one in the pipe. If a F&G official catches you with the ability to hold more that those total three rounds, you'll be in hot water.

As the others have said, there is no mag capacity limit granted that it's legal for you to posses the magazine.
