    Gunbroker.com... anyone have experience?

I checked out gunbroker.com and saw some pretty good deals but don't know how it works. When I went to register they asked for a credit card and I'd like to know a little more about them before I give it out.

Do you have any personal experience with the site and if so can you share it?

    Thanks.

    They are good to go.

Mostly dealers, better... sellers are more reputable than you find on Ebay, but DO check reviews!

Make sure they ship to CA before you pay!

I bought from gunbroker before and didnt have a problem. However, I make it a habit to check for the sellers reviews and I tend to only buy from the ones with a lot of feedback.

yes, they are GTG however, not everything is as good of a deal as you might think... there are some dealers that offload their "blems" on GB caveat emptor

Have bought many parts and several guns from Gunbroker without problems.
              Revolvers are not pistols

pistol nouna handgun whose chamber is integral with the barrel
Calling a revolver a "pistol" is like calling a magazine a "clip", calling a shotgun a rifle, or a calling a man a woman.

Bought an upper on there no problem. Don't see too many good deals on ammo though.

GB is good to go. We buy and sell a lot on there.

The best part is that there are NO fees for listing an item. Fees are only collected if the item sells, and the fees are very low.

Bought a dozen or so rifles and pistols off Gunbroker.

It worked great especially for the HK .40 Expert that no one had in state

Then I made a fdozen sales, unused reloading supplies, a couple of C & R rifles.

One went real bad, part of it was my own fault. I sold a 6.5 x 55 Swede Mauser. I received payment and shipped the rifle. The purchaser from Washington stated the rifle was misrepresented and wanted his money back.

So I sent his money back Yeah - I know big mistake. I figured if he was willing to send the money before the rifle so should I.

He had altered the rifle and didn't want to send it back. He wanted to renegotiate the price. I did some research and found out I wasn't the first person he had used this scam on.

He later acknowledged that the pictures did show the condition of the rifle and the description was accurate.

I didn't really care about the $75 dollars which is what he had planned on I didn't want this Coward from repeating this scam. If your want the rifle come and get it - his words knowing that he lives 750 miles away

So I contacted the Gunbroker Moderators and settled the problem. I received a money order for the bid price less $75.

He had his account suspended permanently.

I was happy with the results but now I know to actively check bidders and blackball them if they look fishey.

I have bought about 3 guns off dealers on GB and 1 off of a private seller on GB. All good experiences.

I'd do that before placing a bid. Sometimes you can change a sellers mind too.

Haven't bought any complete firearms from them, but I have purchased many parts and accessories.... no problem.
