I was wondering what brands are out there? I have friends as well my Hubby who've discussed they want to shoot more actively.

Do you guys have any suggestions for vest that can carry magazines for AR's, a pistol, and or etc? A flexable use vest?

I as well would like to get one, but am unsure of brands out there, I am XS, my husband is L, my brother is 1XL, my uncle is 2XL.

I saw those cheap crappy ones off Cheaper Than Dirt, and alot of those seem like the stuff airsoft users would purchase. So not geared to much at those offerings.

Any suggestions?

I got this one..although its UTG which is typically associated with airsoft...this is one rock-solid item. Holds all my ar and pistol mags and some shotshells. Check it out you can always return it.

The only advice i have is to stay away from cheaper than dirt. I do not own any vests though, sorry.

Take a look at Blackhawk! they have one of the larger selections in terms of tac vests, but I'm sure there are others.

Look on E-Bay for surplus MOLLE FLC vests. One size fits all and they're modular so you can put whatever you want wherever you want. The ones in desert camo are really cheap usually and most come with assorted pouches as well.

I just moved to the Blackhawk vest from a Condor plate carrier. The vest holds three AR mags, 4 pistol mags and has a cross draw pistol holster on it. The plate carrier held a lot more; 10 AR mags, first aid kit, pistol, 6 pistol mags, knife, etc. The vest is easier to use, though.

I am keeping both rigs as they're both paid for, but the Blackhawk is a nice set up for a vest.

As you can imagine, the configuration of your gear on a vest, chest rig or belt takes a bit of trial and error. Based on my limited experience (mostly in carbine and pistol courses), you want to get something that is modular in nature (i.e., MOLLE) so that you can buy different pouches, and move them around, to best suit your needs. That costs a little more than buying a pre-configured piece.

AR15.com can be a bit intense at times, but often is a good resource for something like this. Look under "Armory - Tactical Gear".

I went with a 5.11 vest and added MOLLE pouches. For me, it was reasonably quality at a decent price. And it gave me the opportunity to configure the pouches the way that I use them. Lots of people don't like vests, but like chest rigs instead. YMMV.

It is not going to be easy to find something in XS.

If you want to be able to move stuff around and configure it I'd recommend the 5.11 LBE Vest or similar. Then just buy some MOLLE pouches for AR/Pistol mags etc...

I tried joining AR15, but it kept denying my AOL email, which is my only email besides gmail, and it won't take Gmail. :P But I can still browse things there I believe.

And yah story of my life finding stuff for myself cause I am so small Eh, but I am still looking, For myself I may go with some airsoft vest cause I've seen they fit kids snug like, and I am very small so I may do that! Chest rigs may be good idea for me maybe too. And thank you for the reply

No, it's a Black-Hawk Serpa with their MOLLE mount.
