can you return mail order ammo?

ok so I know that all sales are final in our great state of CA. How about if you order ammo and you get something that you didn't order? I thought it was hilarious: my buddy ordered some 7.62x25 and got some 7.62x39 same amount of rounds ordered and I was like "dude you might as well keep it since you paid for 7.62x25 price for some x39." lol

If they shipped the wrong thing the seller should make good on it, but probably won't have the old stuff returned. If you ordered the wrong caliber, too bad.

      check the stores return policy.

if you got shipped the wrong stuff, i'm sure they will.

there is no law against returning ammo, but many vendors have a "no returns" policy, partly due to liability of reselling ammo that someone may have tampered with.

Now, in your case, if you ordered 7.62x25 ammo, were invoiced for x25 ammo, and received x39 ammo instead, I would call the vendor and complain about it. Any "no returns" policy should be exempted by their error. But, as you said, your friend is ahead on the value of the deal, so if the vendor doesn't want to swap out the ammo, and issue a return shipping tag so your friend is not out any money, then I'd keep the more expensive ammo and call it done.

Do you want an AOW or C&R SBS/SBR in CA?

sell the x39, and then re-order x29 ammo and keep the profits?
