Glock Generation 4 Glock 22 Pistol

Anyone own one? I have a 3rd Gen and wondering about your input on the Gen 4

This was brought up on Glock talk and it seems like a lot of people don't care for the texture of the grip. I held one and personaly it's not that bad but it's alot rougher like a file..

not enough change to warrant buying a new one IMHO. should be called generation 3.5
only the G21 SF has enough change to warrant buying one- unless the original frame fits your hand already.

At least they did something right - got rid of the fugly fish scale....

Just the same.... to me.... since I dun care about their various grip size.... and I would put thread tape on the grip anyways...

Is glock the only manufacturer with "generations"?

I wonder if their dual recoil rod in Gen 4 is really that much of a difference in the recoil

Awesome.

It definitely has it's own compatibility, meaning cannot put a Gen4 slide onto a Gen3 frame. Recoil is easier. Ergonomics is a HUGE improvement.

I like the fish scale serations on my RTF2 G22, its different.

i dont know its a glock thing....

and when i read the 1st post, i was like glock makes a 22lr pistol. then i remembered glock had funny numbering system. but that would be awesome if the made a 22lr pistol.

As the frame flexes under recoil, the steel block in the frame slams into the inner wall of the slide and peens it (displaces steel, aka mushrooms, dents, etc.)

I was told the RTF texture falls off like it is sand paper....I think the salesman who told me this was full of horse puky, but curious about if anyone has had any issues.

What do you think about the RTF2????
