    .50 BMG ammo??

A buddy of mine has offered me some .50 BMG (NON-TRACER OR AP) for a pretty good price. Now I don't own a .50 nor have I ever touched one. If I bought this ammo from him is it legal for me to sell it? and if so who would be interested in purchasing it from me for a steal of a price???
As always thanks for the light you shed on my questions.

buying, selling, and being in possession of .50BMG ammunition is not illegal in CA.

how many rounds would you be selling and for how much?

If the price is right, you'll sell it in no time. What type of projectile? Do you know who loaded it? How much are you talking about? As long as they are Ca legal projectiles, I don't see any laws being broken.

They are M33 projectile(BALL) and loaded by a company called Talon. He has a 50bmg ammo can full so i'm guessing 100RDS.
It was manufactured in late 2004
I was thinking $350 for it all

If a local Calgunner with a registered 50bmg buys this and lets me shoot off 4-5 rds I will let you have it for $325!!

IIRC, the can of Talon I bought had 150 rounds in it. If so, that's a steal.

Talon used to come in 150 rds in a can.
To bad they are not around any more.

                    Is $$475-500 a fair price for 150rds?

Right now the avg. price for 50 BMG ball is $3 a round, there is some for less and some for a little more. If you want to sell it, $3 will probably get it sold in no time.

Is there a date of manufacture on it? A few years back there was a bad batch of Talon floating around, Talon made good on the returns but I know some of it still pops up. I think it was around '03 that the bad batch hit the market. Basically the shoulders were set back to far and led to many problems for guys that bought it.

That can should hold 150 rounds.

Sounds right, that's what I see the same stuff sell around on Gunbroker ($400-$450).
