The guys were nice but in the process of getting my safe through the kitchen they some how scratched a 2 foot long line in the left side of my New browning safe it wasnt there upon arrival and im still perplexed as to what caused it.
So i called up Guns fishing and other stuff in Vacaville were i purchased the safe, the floor manager was an ape to me on the phone none caring about the situation.
1st of he thought i was calling 3 days after they delivered it and prior to me telling him differently he was pretty rude saying it was a shop floor model which it was, trying to make out that it was damaged at the time of purchase. I told him at the time of purchase it was mint upon careful inspection.
Then he tells me how he trained the guys himself, some times this happens OH well was his mind set.
I told him i wish he had been here, perhaps then it would not of happened.
Then telling me there is nothing he could do.
Once he figured out that they had just delivered it 5 mins ago after i corrected him.
He then said what could he do.
I told him the least you could do is get rid of the delivery charge which he was quick to jump on just to get rid of me.
Delivery charge or not he was a goon to me on the phone, like he couldnt give a damn, to bad so sad attitude.
I have a bottle of touch up paint but this is a high gloss finish i doubt its going to disappear, not sure how i could buff it out if thats even possible.
From were i have it standing its not apparent, but on such a beautiful safe its still very dis-hearting and on my first real safe.
Im sure in time it wont feel as bad even though its there to remind me.
Any idea on how to buff it out, its just below the lacquer, its not very deep but enough so that it wont just rub out.
Lastly do you think i could of been tougher in the bargaining with this guy as to better comp me, i got a $150 back from the delivery refund im wondering if i should contact the owner and tell him what happened.
will post pics shortly.
