    is duracoating easy?

i'm planning on a duracoating project on my bolt action rimfire. i'm planning to only duracoat the wood stock in a Woodland BDU camo pattern.

i already have an airbrush and air compressor that still works (i used to use it painting model airplanes when i was a kid...heh). is there anything else i need?

i was thinking about buying the $75 package and the reducer. http://www.houtsenterprises.net/dur_...signature.html

easy but you really have to take time specially with the stencils, i messed up mine by hurrying up and came up edges are lousy so i have to do it several times. practice ...

yeah, i figure it would take some practice. i used to paint model airplanes into different camo patterns back in my teens, so maybe that can help. i was thinking about just practicing on an airsoft pistol that i have first.

also what kind of sandpaper should i use to prepare the wood stock?

Just a fine grit should be fine to smooth the wood out.
You should be fine, Get the kit if you want but you might just be better off with the color pack, and some painters tape and a razor.

Take your time. You'll be fine.
