Bought my new Glock 19 today!

Bought my Glock 19 today. I purchased from Glockworld.com. 459.00 + 20.00 shipping (NO TAX). Pretty good deal.

I selected OC Indoor to do the FFL for me. For 75.00 they will handle the FFL and DROS. They were very cool about taking care of this for me. Professional. Then I put a couple of hundred rounds through my HiPoint C9. The HP is really a fun gun to shoot. Even though it is not a pretty thing.

    It was a good day.

I think this was the best deal I could work out. Now I wait.

Nope. My HiPoint was my first handgun and it was a good intro to learning about guns and gun safety. It was a nice introductory 9mm and I have no plans to get rid of it. I am pretty darn accurate with it so I am expecting big things from the Glock. One thing that helps me make good shots with the HiPoint is the Ghost Sight. I will need to get familiar with Glock sites. Has anyone added the TruGlo sites to their Glock? Are they easy to install?

very nice! I love my G19. Definitely my go-to if SHTF

too bad the used ones in marketplace are posted for anywhere between $450-$475 with no real mods or accessories. Trying to find one for a friend.

Congrats!!! I have a G19 and I love it. It is every bit as accurate as my G34. Sights are the first thing I would change. Go shoot it and see where it shoots. Now is the time to make any adjustment that you want. Do you like a point of aim or a 6 oclock setup? I favor a point of aim picture and mine was shooting 2" high at 15 yards. I used the sight caluclator on Ameriglow's site http://www.ameriglow.com/ . As far as installing them I use a wood block and vise. Expensive pushers are a bad investment unless you have a shop. Good luck and post picts when you get it! Sammy

Thanks for the tip on ameriglow. I will check it out. I am kind of new. Not sure if I use point of aim or 6 o'clock. I typically aim straight forward with my thumbs married and keeping both eyes open. I am pretty good with not flinching. Kind of push the bullet to the target.

Now go do the $0.25 trigger job. Add a 3.5 connector if you want a lighter trigger pull.
