    hi-cap mag questions....

I'm active duty military, and I'm navy police. For work, i'm issued 15 round mags for my beretta. At the end of shift, I have to turn in my pistol, but we keep our mags and bring them home. So obviously, I'm allowed to have those, but am I also allowed to have and use hi-caps for my personal weapons? Also, does me being active duty navy police help me out with any of the other ridiculous CA laws? Thanks!

It depends where you are stationed, if you are here temporarily?

Your military ID eliminates the need for a HSC card.

I don't know about the Hi-cap mags.... Since they are "ISSUED" to you I can't see a problem, they aren't yours, they belong to the Navy...

I can't wait for the day these ridiculous laws are repealed so we can start calling them standard capacity magazines again rather than what the traitorous gun grabbers want us to call them(in regards to CA law).

I'm stationed here, not temp. I know that my issued mags are OK, but what about my personal ones? At times, I also have my issued 30round M4 mags too, but I won't be able to use them in my personal weapon, will I? Stanze, I know exactly how you feel! I remember when I was like 5 or 6, and my neighbor had a micro uzi and an M16, no prob, but now? sigh......

If those large capacity magazines that belong to you didn't belong to you in California prior to 2000, you can't have imported them into California.

            "Pre-ban" hi-cap mags

Can a California resident who wishes to sell a Cal registered handgun he bought pre-ban with 15 round mags, is he able to sell the pistol to another California resident complete with the original mags?

Magazine PARTS = yes. However, it looks suspicious if the "parts" are complete enough to be able to create a magazine(s) with no parts left over & are sold with the original issued weapon.

Best bet, don't do it. Buy a follower and spring kit and convert the magazines to 10 rnd mags. Then destroy the original parts.

                  Those are his "issued" magazines.

There are NO laws reguarding possession and usage for "large capacity magazines", laws are on importing, manufacturing, and selling(ish...)....

So, if he is legally "issused" those magazines.... then, by all means.... USE them...

If one does not import, one can certainly be in possession or use.
