Question regarding Eagle Industries....

I put an order in for a plate carrier recently, however got an email stating the item was one a 20 week back-order. After a few emails asking to find out specifically how long it would be; the store contacted me and told me they could get the carrier now, but it would be made in Honduras ( instead of USA like Eagle advertises ) The store claims that Eagle has a factory there. I emailed them back asking if the lifetime warranty applies and I was just wondering if it was true in regards to Eagle gear coming from Honduras? Seems kinda odd to me since they always advertise made in the USA.

I own a lot of Eagle gear, but I honestly have no idea if their stuff is made here or overseas. I just looked at my CIRAS and a few other items, none of them have "Made In ....." tags. Wherever its made, the gear has always been top notch w/ no issues.

Are you deploying with this gear?

If not I don't see any reason to give it a second thought. In regular civvie use you're unlikely to put much stress on it.

Optactical doesn't pull crap like that, the main guy is active Army and runs a tight ship.

Eagle probably does have an offshore factory making items that don't have to be Berry-compliant that would be more than fine for civvy use, I'm sure the boys at Optactical will fill you in on the details...
