2nd Amendment Sports NOT closing!!!

Looks like 2nd Amendment Sports will be closing soon. They are leaving CA so I guess this will serve as a warning to the AZ gun buyers to BEWARE!
I heard the store is going to be the off-ramp for the new freeway for Mohawk and they would have to move anyway.

I just received a call from Matt in AZ and I was informed that 2nd Amendment Sports was not closing. The freeway off ramp will only remove part of the grass along the roadway. I want to appologize to Matt for any incorrect information I received and passed on. Matt told me he still had 13years left on his lease and he plans on being part of this community. Sorry Matt, it will not allow me to change the title.

Again Matt, I appologize if the imformation was incorrect and, I like I told you in are conversation, I would hate to 2nd Amendment Sports go.

Wes, might be a little tough to sell guns when you have a off ramp running through your store. I doubt if anyone at the store really knows what is going on but I did get this from both a county employee and a federal (yes, one of those) employee. Well, personally I would hate to see them close, I get a lot of business from people that tell me they will never buy another thing from them.

My partners heard the rumor outside of calguns.net too.

What off ramp? They are going to extend mohawk, but that is a long ways from the railroad tracks so it shouldn't effect them. They aren't going to build a new freeway down Rosedale are they? I thought it was going in further south.

I am just passing what was told me by 2 people that should know and independant from each other. I was as surprised as anyone. On the other hand, it does explain some of the goings on at that store. I have had a good amount of people coming to me saying they will not buy anything else from them after the way they have been treated in the last few months.

I heard it this way........... The owner packed up his stuff and left so he could open up another store in AZ, lucky bastard . But i agree they are over priced and in a terrible location. The new freeway is planned to to go right up the river bed south of Rosedale but north of Truxton. In will continue west and will end up spliting Brighton estates and Brimhall estates I think. About a Half of a mile south of liberty high school and continuing west till????? If you drive down Allen between Brimhall and stockdale you will see open ponds on the west side of Allen. This is where the new freeway is going.

Actually, it may not be for the freeway. Mohawk will be 4 or 6 lanes and cross the river. Seems there will be a passover at Rosedale and that will then become a interchange ramp. So, I think no matter what, freeway or expansion, it will have ot be movd/removed. I know if I was Matt and moving out of CA I would not keep a firearms business going in this state no matter what.

2nd amendment sports has so much bad publicity from calguns.


REMEMBER the issue of the guy who PPT dros'd a handgun... but they said he didnt fully pay for a rifle previously which he should have because he already had the rifle. Then 2nd ammendment sports canceled the dros when he called the cops because they would release the pistol to him.
