Kid gets his first .22LR rifle

My youngest son turned 9 today.

On his wish list was a .22 LR rifle since older brother (15) has a GSG-5.

Party went on and he opened his presents. Friends left and I presented him his .22LR rifle. A Magtech with a 10 round magazine.

He broke a huge smile. Was worth seeing that.

I guess it's range time next week with the boys.

      Right on Dad! Lucky kid.
Actually I only started collecting Milsurps 3 years ago. I think I might own about 24...They're cheaper than guns that will most likely never get the opportunity to kill somebody...

I belong to the group that uses firearms, and knows which bathroom to use.

Tis better to have Trolled & lost, Than to never have Trolled, at all.

Yes. We cover that everytime with his Daisy Red Rider and last year when he shot the GSG-5, Spikes Tactical and the Remington Nylon 66 (wife's).

He will be a happy kid!

I still remember when Grampa let me use his rifle!

My son will be 6 in July and we plan on getting him a 10/22...he loves going to the range with us, and has been very good/safe with his BB gun.
Congrats on the great B-day gift Dad...

That's awesome! I can't wait until I have a kid so I can get him into shooting (him willing of course). I'd love to start my kid out with a BB gun, then a Ruger 10/22 and then a shotgun when he's older.

I'm only 23 by the way...so this will be a ways off.
