    <21 yo & Handgun Ammo?

I was told by a range officer at a store that it was illegal for a person under 21 to be in possession of a handgun and handgun ammunition at the same time, without a parental figure present. I have a feeling this is FUD, since I searched CG, the wiki, and PC and found nothing. Did I miss something?

You didn't miss anything, that is FUD.

It is illegal for someone to sell a handgun or handgun ammo to a person under 21. It is not illegal for someone under 21 but over 18 to possess a handgun and the ammo for it at the same time, whether or not a parent or guardian is present. Maybe the can't-sell-to prohibition is what the range officer was thinking of, see here:

    21 or Older for Handguns

If the person is not 18 (a minor), then see 12101 PC, that's more likely what he was thinking about.
