Over the years dozens of movies have been made, in which people have been faced with life/death situations. Involving Zombies, mutated humans in deserts, psychopathic killers in hotels, diseased ridden humans, etc.

So basically pick a movie/scene and a gun(s) in your arsenal. Then tell us how the character(s) would have survived if they had your gun.

1. Quarantine: In this movie you have a firefighter, an LAPD officer and a news crew trapped inside an apartment complex. Why? Because of some virus or something.

The virus mutates humans into some foamy mouthed killers.

My 7-shot 870 Remington HD with Knoxx spec-ops stock, Tacstar 6 shell side saddle and TLR-1. Surely would have made a difference.

All the shots would have been within 15-20yds perfect for buckshot. Plus the building had stairs, so you could hit 2 or more infected as they came up the stairs.

The light would have illuminated any room where there was no light. Plus provided positive I'd on threats/ non threats.

I mean they could have survived but hey they all died. Lol

lol its Shyamalan, his movies aren't the best. The Sixth sense was good and hopefully The Last Airbender will be good.

Another would be the movie Vacancy. All I have currently is an 500 and an 870. Both outfitted with TLR-1's and Knoxx stocks

No motel or hotel is going to stop you from bringing in a gun. So my 870 which is my car gun would have been right in the room with the couple.

They could have simply blasted their way out. I carry a 50rd bandolier in my carrying case.
So that should be enough for them to survive.

i didn't say the rest of the 150 spartans would be sitting around doing nothing. the rest would still be forming the shield/sword line and battling the ones that make it through.

the greatest advantage that they would receive from having mosin's is the range. if assuming that given the mosin, they also get the training to shoot them accurately, they would be able to pick off the higher ranks before they even reach arrow range, and thus would throw a lot of the soldiers into chaos.

any look at it this way, would you as a conscripted soldier of that era, keep marching armed with only a wooden or leather made shield and a sword, against 150 rifle armed soldiers, that are shooting things that are out-ranging your entire line of archers with more lethal and accurate fire? and condensed into a near column like formation due to the narrow path.

by the time the persian army or whats left would reach the spartan lines, they would be combat ineffective due to the amount of fear, low morale, and lack of leadership.

They gave up their ammo, cuz they were inside a nuclear reactor. If they all started shooting they might have blown everything up. The aliens would have died but so would everyone else.
