An NFA trust allows you to obtain NFA firearms without approval from your local CLEO.

For now it seems the only NFA weapons that can be had are AOW's. SBS/SBR's and all other NFA items seems to be out of reach unless you have a CA Dangerous Weapons Permit or other DOJ approval.

You were originally able to get SBR and SBS's that were C&R but the new ATF stance on modifying C&R weapons seems to have changed that.

If you are refering to the change in C&R status in reguards to 'original configeration' it was apparently in ATF Ruling 85-10. I do not have a copy and am unable to find the exact date of the memo.

Often I would reference the Legal forum on ARFCOM that had links to many of the ATF letters, but the server is no longer running, and since the ATF changed domains many of the links I had are no longer valid.

If it's a C&R rifle yes, otherwise no. Did you read this thread http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/s...ad.php?t=82693?
